Scotland April 2010
A trip to Scotland in early April 2010 with the start in Gothenburg.
After the plane from London landed at Prestwick outside Glasgow, we took the car up to Oban on the Scottish west coast, past Loch Lomond and the mountains in the north. When we arrived at Oban in the evening we took in at the Royal Hotel and then it became a pub tour of the city center.
The second day we visited Oban distillery before we drove along the coast south of Oban. We stopped in Craobh Haven, Lochgilphead and Inveraray for snacks and meals. On the journey back to Oban, we went past the Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe. Once back in Oban in the evening we went for a pub tour around the town at sunset.
The third day we went direct north to Loch Ness. We took the opportunity to stop at Fort Williams and Ben Nevis for a cup of coffee and in Spean Bridge for some food. At Loch Ness, we turned around at Invermoriston and went home to Oban. On the way back we stopped at Brave Hearts Urquhart Castle and Fort Augustus and the Caledonian Canal locks down to Loch Ness.
The fourth day was the early return travel from Oban to catch the flight to Gothenburg from Prestwick.

About me
I'm a photographer who likes to take photos around my cabin at Little Pike Lake in northern
Dalecarlia's Wilderness in Sweden - summer, autumn, winter and spring.
In the areas around my cabin live bears, wolves, wolverines and lynx. Birds thrive in the trees, shrubs and small lakes while golden eagles patrol the skies.
